Get a short break and come to the lake Bled , which is hidden among the Julian Alps. Bled is a perfect place to relax, to get plenty of fresh air and to visit some nice places.
You can travel independantly, taking advantage of one of our Self Drive holidays giving you the freedom to explore Slovenia at your own pace and the opportunity to discover the wonderful sights, people, food and wine that Slovenia has to offer.

On arrival at Ljubljana Airport, pick up your car from the Europcar office and drive to your accommodation at Lake Bled. Perhaps spend the afternoon exploring the dramatic cliff top castle or take a Pletna boat to the romantic lake island.

On Saturday you will take a trip on a picturesque Bohinj railway line by a steam-hauled train. The departure from Bled railway station is at 09.12.The train passes Bohinj lake and than through the tunnel under the Bohinj mountains onto the southern side of the Julian Alps, into the Soča valley. The tour continues by bus all the way to the wine-growing region of Goriška Brda. In Goriška Brda, the land of wine, you will be served a delicious dinner. In the late afternoon you will get back on the train and up the hill back to the starting point.
