Authentic Thai Cooking Class

Experience the culinary delights of Thai cuisine with a hands-on cooking class led by one of Santhiya Tree Koh Chang Resort’s professional chefs. Classes start with a basic introduction to Thai cuisine and a description of the 2 to 4 dishes you will be preparing. The chef then leads guests through the resort’s herb garden to pick fresh ingredients necessary for the food preparation, including chilli, Thai basil, and lemongrass. At the end of the session, guests are invited to enjoy the delicious food of their labour.

Kayaking

Grab a paddle and hit the water in a kayak to explore the emerald waters surrounding the resort.

Koh Suwan, the closest island to Santhiya Tree Koh Chang Resort, makes for an interesting half-day excursion. The island is uninhabited, but there is a small beach and you can walk along the shoreline or scramble through brush to the other side where you can find a sheltered cove to go snorkelling.

Vegetable & Fruit Carving

Learn the culinary art of vegetable and fruit carving and take slice of Thai culture back home to show off after the tan has faded. Fruit and vegetable carving is believed to have originated in central Thailand several hundred years ago, and is still widely practised during special occasions and festivals as decoration.

Over the one-day course, guests learn the foundations of this traditional art, including basic methods and techniques for a number of designs.

Full Relaxation Massage: The holistic relaxation treatment starts with a sauna to detox and is followed by a cooling soak in the Jacuzzi. A Thai Essential Oil Massage loosens muscle tension and coaxes the mind into a blissful state of relaxation.

Reflexology Foot Massage: Reflexology is said to have its ancient origins in China. The treatment is based on the principle that the feet and hands are loaded with nerve endings which correspond to all parts of the body. Reflexology is extremely relaxing, and helps to improve blood circulation, ease pain, headaches, and treat a wide range of illnesses.
