Etoile Spa Swimming Pool Etoile is the outdoor spa swimming pool, which can also conveniently be used in winter, as it is connected with the relaxation area of the indoor pool. Its water temperature varies from 29 to 34°C.

The inspiration for this project was the desire to build a spa that would recreate the sensations, the images of harmony, purity and beauty that a visitor encounters when visiting Venice, as he/she wanders through its characteristic alleyways, fields, courtyards, or stops on one of the islands located in the lagoon. And indeed, the names of the spa areas also recall these places: guests enter the Clay Field (Campo d’Argilla), proceed to the Cold Alley (Calle del Freddo), on to the Steam Courtyard (Corte del Vapore) and finally relax in the Sauna Island (Isola della Sauna).Just as a visitor walks around Venice motivated by the desire to catch a glimpse of hidden corners and unforgettable sights, in Venezia SPA, his journey takes him on a similar trail of discovery, on which all the benefits one can imagine for the mind and soul are waiting to be experienced.

The very structure of the spa evokes the magic of Venice, with its hidden quiet corners, where the guest can relax, reflect on their inner depths and discover the most secreted paths, those concealed within ourselves.

The architectural style of the spa is a tribute to the splendour of Venice, and every one of its many fine details has been carefully designed and crafted to recreate the authentic charm of the Venetian Republic. Moving from one area of the spa to the next is similar to walking through the striking streets and alleyways of Venice. The thermal steam bath is ornamented in the typical, classical Venetian style, the ice well is designed based on the original shapes of the typical wells that can still be seen nowadays in the fields of Venice.

In addition, natural materials, with their glorious past of history and charm, have been used as a tribute to the concept of all that combines beauty and wellbeing: the floor and the showers are built in quartzite, a stone which is well-known for its healing properties, capable of emitting energy, light and heat: moreover its brightness evokes the glamour of the Venice Baroque style.

Campo D'Argilla

Guests entering Venezia Spa are welcomed by the Clay Field (Campo d’Argilla), which takes its inspiration from the ancient roman argillarium, in a room where the ancient tradition of wet treatments combines with the innovation of wellness and comfort.

Here, the guest encounters areas with different temperatures and humidity levels, and it is indeed the variation of these diverse conditions which creates the desired effect: warm-dry and warm-humid environments interact , creating the best possible conditions for purifying and revitalizing the body , thus enhancing the effectiveness of the treatments on offer, which include mud, clay, savonage scrub and body wraps.

The first room to welcome the guest is a Roman dry heat bath, a warm, relaxing welcome with a temperature of 40 °C and 20% humidity. This first warm environment prepares the skin for the treatments to follow: it helps the pores open up naturally and gently facilitating the deep penetration of all the properties released by the thermal elements.

Afterwards, the wet area is the guest’s next stop, a genuine steam bath, characterized by a higher level of heat intensity. The temperature (45 °C) and humidity level (98%) favour the skin hydration and cleansing process and improve the respiratory system It can be used to enhance the benefits of the products already applied to the body or alternatively as an effective cleansing process that prepares the skin for the treatments to follow (such as the body scrub procedure).

Here, mud, salts, clays or black soap are available, allowing the guest to experience the sensations and properties of these natural thermal elements that accentuate and reinforce the benefits of the dry and moist heat.

Corte Del Vapore

The Steam Courtyard (Corte del Vapore) combines the concept of the Roman baths with the Arab hammam, and there is no better place than Venice for combining these two traditions of comfort and wellness, as the city has always been considered the gateway to the Middle East. Heat, hot water and thermal steam - all these together in one room: the result is an absolutely unique thermal steam bath for the atmosphere of the environment and its functions.

The sensation obtained is similar to that experienced when entering a cloud of steam: tiny water droplets lay gently on the skin, making it softer, cleaner, more elastic and hydrated. As the aromatic steam is inhaled, it enters both body and soul, soothing the respiratory system and creating an anti-stress effect, increasing the relaxing sensation of wellbeing that slowly permeates the body. When combined with spa treatments such as mud baths, it can effectively counteract rheumatic and joint pains, relax tense muscles etc.

Natural essences, music and light are present in the steam: it is a full immersion in the most gratifying spa experience at Abano terme.

Isola Della Sauna

Sauna Island (l’Isola della Sauna) is a Finnish sauna with salt therapy, which is based on the well known ancient tradition of the dry bath sauna inside a wooden cabin.

A tribute to Venice’s legendary maritime past, this sauna takes the guest back in time, with décor that recreates the interior of an old Venetian sailing ship .

The wooden interior tells us stories of travels and faraway lands, the bricks of pink rock salt on the walls tell us of the sea and its charm, creating a bright, relaxing, dreamy environment, enhancing the elements of chromotherapy that are naturally present.

The essence of eucalyptus in the air mingles with the scents of other woods, such as fir and pine, creating a natural and constant fragrance.

By combining all these elements, the result is a magical environment, a calm, compact place which invites the guest to stop for a couple of minutes and experience a taste of its purifying, toning and anti-stress properties.

The temperature ranges from 80 to 90° C, with very low humidity levels, from 10 to 30%.

Calle Del Freddo

SKIN TEST CHECK-UP

We use sophisticated but non-invasive diagnostic instruments and specific mathematical reference models to determine the biological age of the skin and to relate it to the actual age of the client by way of a specific skin test.

OXIDATIVE STRESS CHECK-UP

Environmental pollution, cigarette smoke, an unhealthy diet, a sedentary lifestyle, work-related stress, excess alcohol, inadequate physical exercise, chronic use of pharmaceuticals, infections.

These are some of the most common causes of so-called oxidative stress, a form of “chemical stress” induced in our organism by an imbalance between the production of free radicals and our physiological anti-oxidising defence mechanisms.

FOOD INTOLERANCES TEST

A study published in the Journal of Immunoassay and Immunochemistry in 2009 identified the most common food intolerances from a broad range of Italian case histories. This important article revealed that the most common adverse reactions to food among Italians are those concerning yeasts, wheat, dairy products and eggs.

Intolerances lead to the production of IgG antibodies which act against the proteins contained in foodstuffs. This reaction aims to eliminate the proteins that the body recognises as foreign.

The dietary programme used to rebuild tolerance is based on the “weaning” process. By gradually reintroducing the foods that are not tolerated, in most cases all it takes is a few months before all foods are tolerated once more.
